There is hope for the radiation problem that Port Hope has in my opinion. It’s interesting how the health problem with environmental contamination in Port Hope has the residents more concerned with the appearance of economic impact then the possible risk for their health. As a concerned citizen of Cobourg which is quite close to Port Hope, I wonder if the health risk will become covered up by Port Hope’s own representatives in favor of business interests such as land values and tourism. If I was personally in charge of the situation I would likely opt to quietly deal with the health risk as a priority to make sure there really isn’t a risk of radiation contamination.
