Sugars That Heal: The city decided that changing the minimum cluster lot size from 7,200 square feet to 5,000 square feet is unlikely to have a significant negative environmental impact on 12 acres west of Yew Street and south of Whatcom Street. The project is by Whitworth Park LLC. Comments can be sent by Friday to the city planning department, 210 Lottie St., Bellingham, WA 98225. The city has received an application for a permit to demolish a gas station and minimart and build two four-story buildings with a total of 10 housing units and 5,000 square feet of office space at 1602 12th St. The applicant, Mike Kohl of BAS Construction and Development Services will have to do several things to mitigate the impacts.
